He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Allen and Barbra Hopkins, Sr. (Frye). He is survived by: his wife Sandra Hopkins (O'Neill); his daughter Amanda Hopkins; his son-in-law Thomas B. Sipes; and his grandsons, Gene and Chanse.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully asks the donations are made to the family to assist with burial expenses.
