He is survived by: his wife Maria Sonsini (DiGiovine); his children, Rocco (Domenica Sonsini) and Paula (late Joseph Placidi); his grandchildren, Jena, Charlie Adams, Gerry, Monika Sonsini, Danny Sonsini, Cassandra August and Joseph Placidi III; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Ava, Austin Adams, Kenzie and Gianrocco Sonsini; his sister Nancy (Rocco Scipione); his siblings-in-law, Giuseppe DiGiovine, Domenica DiGiovine and Sue Sonsini; and his nieces and nephews, Lina (Bob Berry), Roberto (Pamela Scipione), Tammy (Vincent Vogel) and Tommy (Mary Kay Sonsini).
