He was predeceased by: his wife Nell; and his sisters, Helen Kasper and Eleanor Nawrocki. He is survived by: his children, Linda, Chris Wichmann, Jack, Patty Hamerski, Blair, Bernice Hamerski, Victoria and Kevin Kalidonis; his grandchildren, Bryan Hamerski (Linda), Kate Sherman (Moshe), Sean Kalidonis, Matthew Hamerski (Sarah) and Emily Wichmann (Laura); and his great grandchildren, Ori, Zinnia Sherman, Julia and Olivia Hamerski. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
