She was predeceased by : her parents, John Matiko and Ethel Matiko (Bruce); her husband Robert F. Sloan; and her brothers, Ronald Matiko (Sonny), Raymond Matiko and James Matiko.

She is survived by : her children, John Workman (Mitzi), Kimberly Phillips (Mark) and Cynthia Matiko (Ronald); her grandchildren, Sherri, Robert Dwyer, Brooke, Christian Workman and Damon Phillips; her great grandchild Cora Campbell (Workman); and her sisters, Margaret Bethel and Dorothy Ray, along with her cousins and caregiver Jim and Shirley Bruce, Kiersten, Gracie and Allie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
