Ralph J. Sapariti Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ralph J. Sapariti (Aliquippa, Pennsylvania), born in West Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 19, 2018, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Guerino Saporiti; his brother Theodore Sapariti; and his sister-in-law Diane Midzianowsky (DiVecchia). He is survived by: his parent Amelia Saporiti (Palmieri).
Ralph retired after 37 years from J&L Steelworks where he worked in the 14" mill as a mechanical machine operator. After retirement he enjoyed new employment at Pittsburgh International Airport as a Skycap for 15 years. Ralph took great pride in many of his pastimes. He enjoyed remodeling, gardening and spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid sports fan who followed Pittsburgh sports teams and maintained interest with local high school sports. Ralph enjoyed cooking for his family. One of his favorite dishes he prepared was hot roast beef and fries. For many recent years, Ralph liked reading about world history, sports legends/trivia, nutrition, and many other topics. Surviving Ralph is his devoted wife of 58 years, Nancy (DiVecchia) Sapariti. Three loving children: Denise Sapariti, Karen and Edward Moses, and Rick Sapariti. Four cherished grandchildren: Kristyn & husband Fernando, Erica and her fiancé Patrick, E.J., and Hannah; three great grandchildren: Savina, Ellynah, and Anthony. Ralph is also survived by his brother, Frank Sapariti, a niece Dana Riggins and her husband Sean, a great niece Vivian Riggins; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Loretta DiVecchia-Smith and Dr. Roy E. Smith, three nephews: Mick Midzianowsky, Jesse and Jonathan Smith. Family and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian burial Monday at 11:00 am, St. Frances Cabrini Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hopewell Twp. The Beaver County Special Unit will conduct military honors at the cemetery. The Sapariti family would like to thank ANOVA Hospice, and all the home health assistants for the care and compassion that was extended to Ralph and their family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made if desired, to St. Frances Cabrini Church or a charity of one's choice in memory of Ralph.
