With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stanley Emanuel Simantiras (Aliquippa, Pennsylvania), who passed away on May 6, 2020 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emanuel Simantiras and Kyriaki Simantiras; and his sisters, Chrysanthe Tarapchak (Andrew) and Aphrodite Lagios (Alex). He is survived by: his spouse Tharina Simantiras; the father of his child Emanuel (Demetria); his daughter Maria (Brian); his grandchildren, Stephen (Jacqueline), Constantine, Ariana Simantiras, Emanuel Alexander (Zareen) and Tharina Impellizzeri (Jonathan); his great grandchildren, Giovanni, Lucio, Nico and Kyria Impellizzeri; his sister-in-law Betty Mihmet; and his sibling's children, Nicholas Lagios (Norma), Walter Tarapchak (Maxine), Karen Backus, Sonya Bohmann (Paul), Kitsa Tarapchak, Margaret Mihmet, Duane Backus, Douglas Mihmet and Koumbaro Manuel Kaffenes.
Due to restrictions dictated by the current pandemic, a private service will be held at Kimisis Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church on Saturday, May 9, 2020, with Father Fr. Yanni Verginis, officiating.
