She was predeceased by: her husband James McCord; her parents, Jimmy Knighton and Armetta Knighton (Owens); her sons, J. P. Harpe, Jr., Eddie D. Harpe and Alfonzo Harpe; and her siblings, Jimmy Knighton, Roosevelt, Rosemary, Charles, Isiah and Tommy.
She is survived by: her sisters, Emma Jean, Mary Ellen and Carolyn; and her grandchildren, Shanece, LaMonica, Shannon, Nicole, Darius and Tawanna. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
