He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Sanchez and Otilia Sanchez (Rivera). He is survived by: his wife Michele Sanchez (Gehris); his son Robert M. Sanchez of Buffalo, NY; his stepson Edilberto Parsons Jr. (Deanna) of Newberry, FL; his daughters, Jazmin Sanchez of Allentown and Jaclyn (Jack Smith) of Whitehall; his grandchildren, Delilah Smith, Leila Parsons, Nicolas Parsons, Emma Parsons and Nevaeh Conyer; and his siblings, Lucy, Elba, Victoria, Miguel and Carlos.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cruz's memory to St. Luke's Hospice.
