She was predeceased by: her husband Lester; and her siblings, Robert Nielson, Gail Horn and Judith Cadzow. She is survived by: her siblings, Niels Nielson Jr., Bruce Nielson, Terry Chuchman of Pennsylvania and Trudy Henthorn of Pennsylvania; her stepdaughters, Nancy Schwartz (Jim) of Buffalo, MN and Jane Chang (Hsien-Hsin) of Bloomington, MN; and her grandchildren, Christine Chang of Boulder, CO, Andrew Chang (Vicki) and Ela of Scotland.
