With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy F. Davis (Allentown, Pennsylvania), born in Superior, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 26, 2018 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Dottie" Davis, 95 died peacefully at Luther Crest Diakon Senior Living Center on October 26th. Born December 30, 1922 in Superior, Wisconsin to Al & Mary Frederick and sister Marion. She married Howie Davis in 1945, taught school and raised their daughters: Jane (married to Ted Zimmerman living in Allentown) and Mary Lou (married to Bob Rosen living in Savannah, Georgia). Howie died in 1985 & Dottie continued life in Bethesda, Maryland eventually moving to Leisure World. She was married to Wesley Hofstad (the best man at her first marriage) from 2003 until his death in 2015. She enjoyed his children and their families: David, Joy, Alan and Mark. Dottie is survived by her four grandchildren: Dan & wife Hellen in Shanghai, China; Sarah & husband Paul in Carlsbad, CA; Jon & wife Jade in Brooklyn, NY and Jenny & husband Kyle in San Francisco, CA. Dottie adored her great-grandchildren Ana age 8, Peri age 5, Parker 17 months and Wren 15 months. Services will be at Luther Crest on Saturday, November 24th at 1:00 pm.
