He was predeceased by: his father Humberto Gomez; his brother Guillermo Gomez (Memo); and his stepfather Gonzalo Cardona. He is survived by: his mother Beatriz Escobedo of Cardona; his wife Karen Gomez (Michael); his daughters, Stefani Gomez (Rami Nasr), Jennifer Gomez (Thomas Christophel) and Meggan Gomez (Graham Gentz); his brother Ricardo Gomez; and his grandchildren, Frida Gomez Nasr, Zoya Gomez Nasr, Miles Gomez Christophel and Elias Gomez Christophel.
