She was predeceased by: her husband Wilbur Carpenter; her daughter Darlene Gross; her grandson Tarrell Hardmon; and her sister Audrey Penn. She is survived by: her children, Jimmy Gross (Stephanie), Phyllis Thomas, Gerry Gross Kopcik, Alyssa Gross, Stephanie Silfies and Tracy Gross; and her siblings, Stahley Shell of California, Curt Shell of Georgia, Antonia Williams (Elmer) of Bethlehem and Linda Stevenson of South Carolina. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.
