She was predeceased by: her husband John Markowitz; her parents, Francis Schirmacher and Florence Schirmacher (Lorah); and her siblings, Dora Pirog, Dorothy Bittner, Charles and Gerald Schirmacher.

She is survived by: her siblings, Nancy (Andy Krasulak) of Allentown and William Schirmacher (Marge) of Hokendauqua. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
