He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Russell Butz and Ellen Butz (Eisenhard); his wife Mary (Ross); his son Richard G; and his siblings, Barbara Thompson, Mary Kocis of Emmaus, Donald of Allentown, James of California, Timothy of Allentown, Gerald and Gene. He was also cherished by 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dicks' name can be made to the Allentown Rescue Mission.
