He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank L. Haftl and Theresa Haftl (Garger). He is survived by: his wife Carmela (Capobianco); his brother Franklin D. Haftl (Nancy) of Little Silver, NJ; and his nieces, Christina Blacketer, Cathleen Capobianco and Franchesca Gonzales.

Memorial Contributions may be made in Richard's memory to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 1525 Valley Center Parkway, Suite 180, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
