He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles A. Gilbert and Julia M. Gilbert (Favotto). He is survived by: his children, Julia Terrell (Scott) and Richard, Jr. (Nicole); his grandchildren, Phoenix Neas, Madison Gilbert and Marissa Terrell; and his siblings, Ronald (Linda) and Diane Arlen (Daniel). He is also survived by nieces; nephews.
