It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard E. Merling (Allison Park, Pennsylvania), born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 1, 2021, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Merling and Rita Merling (Croushore); and his grandparents, Carl, Evelyn Merling (Rice), David "Earl" and Mary Croushore (Olmer).
He is survived by: his daughter Nicole A. Gibson (Darvell D.) of Pittsburgh, PA; his sisters, Sheila J. Monarko (Raymond) of Allison Park and Lori L. Clinton (Joel) of Allison Park; and his siblings' children, Stacy, Dan, Bryan, Kelly, Tracy and Nick. He is also survived by 13 great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations may be made to Pirates Charities, 115 Federal Street Pittsburgh, PA 15212 in honor of Rick.
