She was predeceased by: her parents, James Karl and Cora E. Biddle (Blackie); her siblings, Hazel Patterson, James, Wayne and Francis Biddle; and her stepson John Thayer.
She is survived by: her husband Richard H. Thayer; her sons, Terry B. Mentzer (Tina Wagner) of Altoona and Steven F. Mentzer (Rebecca) of Altoona; her stepchildren, Linda Ricker (Mike) of Hollidaysburg and Mark Thayer (Mary) of Altoona; and her sisters, Marjorie Bartow, Thelma Seilhamer and Nancy Spencer (Dewayne). She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
