With solemn reverence, we commemorate Dorothy Stayer of Altoona, Pennsylvania, whose life came to an end on May 28, 2025 at the age of 77, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Merrill Martin and Loretta Martin (Woleslagle); and her siblings, Merrill "Pepper" Martin, Dave Hoover, Billy Hoover and Bobby Hoover.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Dale Stayer; her daughters, Pam Wertman (Terry) of Tyrone and Shelby Stayer of Altoona; her grandsons, Joshua (Amanda) and Christopher Wertman (Grace); her great grandchildren, Asher and Eliot; her siblings, Donna Blair, Sheryl Marcus (Harry), Eddie Hoover (Janice) and Kevin Hoover (Nancy); and her sisters-in-law, Gloria Martin and Linda Hoover.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home (719 N 4th Ave, Altoona, PA 16601). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
