He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Karle and Effie H. Karle (Reffner); his wife Charlotte E. Cole; his son Jeff Karle; and his siblings, John, Herman and Irene.
He is survived by: his children, Timothy Karle (Judy), John Karle (Beth) of Altoona, LuAnn Irvin (Larry) of Martinsburg, Lisa Karle of Texas and Susan Gingery (Lee) of Altoona; his grandchildren, Christopher Irvin (Abigail), Sara Kelley (Matt) and Nicholas Irvin; and his sister Helen DeArment. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
