We bid farewell to Elizabeth A. (Betty) Schimminger of Altoona, Pennsylvania, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 6, 2025 at the age of 91. Elizabeth touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, John M. Ronan and May F. Ronan (Shafer); her husband John J. Schimminger; and her siblings, Vernon, John Ronan (Nancy), Marian Smithmyer (Bernard), Rita Raichle (Edward), Dorothy McCord (William), Helen Behe (Joseph), William Ronan (Joan), Michael Ronan (Anna) and Mary Bottenfield (Paul).
She is survived by: her children, Steven Schimminger (Lisa), Paula Dent (Michael), Mark Schimminger (Catherine), Matthew Schimminger, Ann Olesnevich (Christopher), Linda Adams (Mark), Kurt Schimminger, Tess Snyder, Leigh Wesner (Shawn) and John Schimminger (Nadia). She is also survived by 30 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Good Funeral Home Inc. (108 Alto Reste Park, Altoona, PA 16601). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Lourdes (2617 Broad Ave, Altoona, PA 16601).
