James DeGennaro Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James DeGennaro of Altoona, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustino DeGennaro and Margaret DeGennaro (Demodico); and his siblings, Albert, John, Faye, Margaret Jane, Angie, Gus, Christine and Mary Ann.
He is survived by: his wife Genevieve "Genny" Stewart of Mark's Catholic Church; his children, James T. DeGennaro (Bonnie) of Altoona, Shawn J. DeGennaro (Kim) of Altoona, Anthony J. DeGennaro of Altoona and Paula M. DeGennaro of Bellwood; his grandchildren, Josh (Tamera), Jenna (Devon), Marissa, Laney, Leah, Dillon, Jaiden, Ava and Ricky (Erika); his great grandchildren, Lorenzo, Liza and Lorelei; his siblings, Joseph DeGennaro (Pat) of Altoona, Robert DeGennaro (Janet) of Altoona, June Osmolinski (Jerry) of Altoona, Jeanne DeGennaro of Altoona and Mary Louise DiRenzo (Mike) of Altoona; and his sisters-in-law, Jeannie DeGennaro of Altoona and Winnie DeGennaro of Altoona.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stevens Mortuary, Inc. (1421 8th Ave, Altoona, PA 16602). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mark's Catholic Church (416 6th Ave, Altoona, PA 16602).
