With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Ann Gottshall of Altoona, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 27, 2025 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Ann Gottshall to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Malec and Bernice Malec (Witroski); her daughter Julie; and her sister Peggy. She is survived by: her husband Edward R. Gottshall; her children, Jennifer Melbinger (Timothy) and Jonathan Gottshall (Emily); her grandchildren, Lydia, Toby, Harrison Gottshall, Allison and Nathan Melbinger; her siblings, Cynthia Hurt, Judy Richardson and Thomas Malec, Jr.; and her pet Ella.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Therese of the Child Jesus (417 25th Ave, Altoona, PA 16601). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Central PA Humane Society, 1837 Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16601.
