She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter E. Edmiston and Alice E. Edmiston (Shoemaker); and her brother George Nathan Edmiston. She is survived by: her husband Elmer U. Hamel; her children, Kelly Hamel Peterson (Scott) of Altoona and Nelson U. (Penny) of Pinecroft; her grandchildren, Autumn Woodcock (Travis), Kyle Hamel (Kristen) and Cindy Hamel; and her pet Sweetie.
