It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Helsel of Altoona, Pennsylvania, born in Allegheny, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 4, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Henry and Olive May Helsel (Brubaker); his wife Barbara Jane Fink; and his siblings, Lavada Stevens, Marie Kaufman and Carl Helsel.
He is survived by: his children, Helen M. Helsel of Duncansville and Charles C. "Chip" Helsel (Jennifer) of Roaring Spring; his grandchildren, Nick Helsel, Laura Helsel (Tim Wolchko) and Lindsey Helsel; and his sister Leda Hoffman of Altoona.
