He was predeceased by: his parents, Grant E. Russell and Vivian E. "Erma" Russell (Fife). He is survived by: his sons, Jared L. Russell (Angell) of Land and Christopher J. Russell of Madison, WI; the mother of his children Pam Russell; his grandchildren, Rosalie and Reid Russell; and his sisters, Melinda "Mindy" S. Johnston (Daren) of Penn Run and Beth A. Bowman (Sam) of Williamsburg.
