He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert H. Sr. Nearhoof and Carrie A. Nearhoof (Dively); and his brothers, Miles Mock, Lester Nearhoof and Raymond Nearhoof.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Nearhoof (Wertz); his children, David Nearhoof (Penny) of Duncansville, PA, Ernestine "Tina" Douglas of Duncansville, PA and Debra Bender (Tim) of Altoona, PA; his grandchildren, Nathan, Joshua and Brittney; his sister Helen Litzenger of Hollidaysburg, PA; his mother-in-law Louella Gray; and his siblings-in-law, Susan, Donna, Walter, David and Mike. He is also survived by other in laws and many nieces and nephews.
