We bid farewell to Russell F. Ellenberger of Altoona, Pennsylvania, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 24, 2025 at the age of 78. Russell touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor M. Ellenberger and Marjorie Ellenberger (Carling). He is survived by: his wife Pam; his children, John Ellenberger (Kristen Spencer) of Fairfax, VA, Kristen John of Hollidaysburg, Kelly Bassler (Dusty) of Martinsburg and Beth Macak (Adam) of Roaring Spring; his grandchildren, Kendyl, Jaime, Emma, Cooper, Austin, Andy and Lucy; his siblings, Susie, Lisa and Mark; and his nephew Gary Hatch.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home (719 N 4th Ave, Altoona, PA 16601). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Rosary Church (900 N 4th St, Altoona, PA 16602).
