With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Swartz (Altoona, Pennsylvania), who passed away on May 20, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter F. Sperl and Daisy P. Sperl (Manspeaker); her husband George Thomas Swartz; her sister Nancy Decker; and her great-nephew David Buck.
She is survived by: her children, Mark S. Swartz (Wendy) of Altoona and Betsy E. Schindler (Frank) of Baltimore; her grandson Zachary T. Swartz of Altoona; her brother-in-law Robert M. Decker of Binghamton, N. Y.; her nieces, Lorin Buck (Gene) of Reston, Shari Peck (Brad) of Canandaigua, N. Y. and Carol Shields (Jeff) of Dallas; and her close friend Mary Ann Oessenich of Altoona.
