We are sad to announce that on February 16, 2022, Samuel E. Claar (Altoona, Pennsylvania), born in Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Claar and Sarah Claar (Feathers); his stepson Edward Walter; and his siblings, Ada 'Sis Heverly, Esther Grabill, Bob and Clair Claar.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Claar (Wendle); his son Dennis Claar; his stepchildren, Julie Noel (Scott) and Gary Walter (Lisa); and his siblings, Dave, Richard, Walter Claar, Jeanie and Thelma Claar. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sam's name to the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, 500 Municipal Dr, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
