Ferne M. Shaffer Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ferne M. Shaffer of Alum Bank, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 18, 2025 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Mock and Midge Mock (Walker); her husband Robert L. Shaffer; her son Wayne R. Shaffer; her grandson Randy; and her siblings, Jay, Glenn, Arden, Mike, Doris and Jeanne.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis P. (Bonnie) and Vicki L. (Larry Walters) of Herndon, VA; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Rob Harris), Rodney and Roxanne (Jonathan Purdy); and her great grandchildren, Cole, Brock and Nora Bell. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Alum Bank Community Church (208 Locust St, Pleasantville, PA 15521). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
