He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Vavreck and Barbara Vavreck; and his siblings, Joseph, Andrew, Benedict, Anne, Josephine, Elizabeth, Bert, Agnes, Marie and Sister Barbara Ann.

He is survived by: his wife Joanne Vavreck; his children, Mary Wolf (Doug) of Hickory, NC, Michael Vavreck (Diana) of Reading, PA, Teresa Scott (John) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Kathleen Small (Vincent) of Lower Gwynedd, PA and Barbara McGirr (Kenneth) of Plant City, FL.; his grandchildren, Dan, Kevin Wolf, Mike, Ben Vavreck, Sarah Vavredge and Austin Small; his great grandchild Kallie Vavreck; his sister Bernadette Johnson of Phillipsburg, PA; and also, Paul, Patty and Jen Tarbay.
