He was predeceased by: his parent Walter Longhurst, Sr.; his child James David Longhurst, Sr.; and his sibling John W.. He is survived by: his parent Violet Longhurst (Hall); his wife Claire Longhurst (Cullis); his children, Richard Longhurst (Karen Statter), Linda Hurt (Longhurst), Mary Lou Longhurst (Horton), Jane MacNeill (Don) and Nancy Pierce (Mark); and his sibling Bernice Kuhar (Longhurst). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren 6 great grandchildren Funeral Service: Wednesday, August 15th at 12 noon at Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, Concord Road, Aston PA, where friends.
