She was predeceased by: her spouse Kerry F. Schartel; her parents, Charles L. Bower and Helen A. Bower (Reppert); her granddaughter Wendy Brandstatter; and her siblings, Sterling, Paul Bower and Joyce Peffley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carol J. (Sinking Spring), Brenda H. (Marl Brensinger, Jr.) and Susan K. (Richard Brown); and her siblings, Lester L. Bower, Ruth A. Hoppes and Fern I. Stewart. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
