He was predeceased by : his parents, Ernest Welshans and Kathryn M. McCallus; his daughter Jill Lynn Welshans; and his brothers, Ernest P. Welshans and Ronald J. Welshans.

He is survived by : his wife Carolyn R. Ricker; his children, Wayne A. Welshans (Melissa) of Fayetteville, N. Y. and Lisa R. Lehman of Avis; his grandchildren, Samantha Jo Lehman, Eric Scott Lehman and Magnolia Lori Rose Welshans; his great grandchild Declan O. Moore; and his siblings, Roger C. Welshans (Patty) of Denver and Kathryn A Gottschall of Tucson, Ariz..
