He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Alvin Buchanan, Mary Guy South, R. H. Pierce and Rosie Pierce. He is survived by : his parents, Robert Pierce, Jr. of Oxford and Wilma Guy Gentry of Avondale; his stepfather Jimmy Roark; his close friend Jackie Adkins; his sons, Dustin Pierce, Austin Pierce and Tyler Fountain; his siblings, Robert Pierce and Sandy Pierce; and his half-brother Kevin Pierce.
