We are sad to announce that on November 27, 2020, Alice Shirakawa of Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, born in Portland, Oregon passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Hatsuto Shirakawa and Misao Shirakawa (Aoki); her brothers, Harris and Sam Shirakawa; her nephews, Michael (Jennifer), Steve (Mary), Jeff and Alan Shirakawa; her great-nephews, Evan and Trevor; and her great-niece Elise. She was also cherished by friends/family, enjoy her dogs/cats.

“I was saddened to hear of Alice's passing. She was a very dear friend and enormously helpful and supportive while I was training as a physician. I miss her dearly. She loved her animals and had offered to bury my Traver and Katie in her yard after I moved from Philadelphia. May she rest in peace.”

“I am sending healing thoughts and prayer to Alice's entire family. It is sad not to see Alice in this physical plane. She was like a family member to us. We enjoy listening to her stories. She was always thankful and generous to the volunteers and students at the hospital she worked. She trained so many Physical Therapists including myself. We have a great memory of her. Sachiko”
