He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Chmiel and Norma Chmiel (Antal). He is survived by: his wife Sharon Chmiel (Ceresi); his son Paul Chmiel; his daughter-in-law Kimberly Kelly; his grandson Callan Chmiel; and his sister Beverly (Michael Rebovich).
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Graziano Funeral Home Inc. (700 S Township Blvd, Pittston, PA 18640). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 9:40 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart of Jesus R. C. Church (215 Lackawanna Ave, Dupont, PA 18641).
