He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Demetrios Elias Papanikolaou and Vasiliki Papanikolaou; his children, Demetrios (Karen Pappan), Spiro (Mary Pappan), Vasiliki (John Clemenza) and Papou; his wife Panagiota Louis Pappan; his grandchildren, Sophia Knight (Josh), Elias Pappan (Michelle), Louis Pappan (Alexa), Patricia Pappan (George Koutsis), Ariana Sweeney (Brian), Amara Pappan, Nikos Pappan (Alexandra), William Clemenza, Mitchol Pappan (Meaghan), Camilyn Clemenza, Patrice Clemenza (Nicholas Nguyen), Nina Pappan and Elaina Pappan; and his siblings, Sophia Nellas and George Papanikolaou. He was also cherished by great grandchildren.
Among his many contributions to the church was the establishment of the Pappan Fellowship Hall in 2016.
