He was predeceased by: his daughter-in-law Kathy D. Eckman; his brother Ralph L. Eckman; and his brothers-in-law, Genevieve Stuart Cole, Harry Stuart and Howard Cole.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Eckman (Moorhead); his son Ronald G. Eckman; his grandchildren, John Sapic (Sarah) and Tammy May (Gregg) of Chippewa Township; his great grandchild Isaac May; his sister-in-law Lela Eckman; and also, Duke, Lab, Puggy and Pug.
