He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald W. Smith and Elda Smith (Altvater); his son Donald Smith; and his brothers, Wayne, Roger and Warren Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Smith (Williams); and his children, Brent Baux (Christine), Kathy McGinnis (Shawn) and Steve Baux. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 2 sisters in law, many nephews and a niece.
