He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Carleton and Elizabeth Carleton; his siblings, Robert and Betty (Dodge); his former wife Margaret; and his wife Gertrude (Zulauf).
He is survived by: his children, Ted Carleton (Fern), Gail Mentis (Charles), Jeff Carleton (Marta) and David Carleton (Candy). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
