He is survived by: his wife Janet; his daughter Sara Grell (Mike) of Florence; his sister Suzanne Lyman (Byron Ellis) of Chapel Hill; his sibling's children, Alissa and Connor; and also Wis.
Through organ donation, John has given the gift of eyesight.
