He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy (Gaillot) and George W. Thompson, Sr.; his siblings, George W. Thompson, Jr. and Robin Thompson; and his nephew Stephen Thompson.

He is survived by: his siblings, Judy Wright (James) of Saxonburg and Tommy Thompson (Judith) of Buffalo Twp. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
