He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Peterson and Katherine Peterson; his wife Ethel Peterson (Susie); his son Robert N. Peterson Jr.; and his brothers, Richard Peterson and Kenneth Peterson.

He is survived by: his children, Deborah LaComb (Earl) and Thomas Peterson (Lisa); and his siblings, Nils Peterson of Troy, NY, Phylis Sasenbury of Elmire, NY and Judy Ameigh (Scott). He is also survived by grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Family is asking in lieu of flowers; donations be made to the Salvation Army.
