He was predeceased by: his siblings, Leonard, Curtis, Ronald, Darwin (Lois), Elaine (Ed Binkney) and Norma (David Herst); his brothers-in-law, Gale Atkins and Gary Dull; and his friend Robert Lenhart.
He is survived by: his wife Connie L. Atkins Bethem; his children, Gay Bethem, Leann Watkins (John Adams) and Scott Bethem (Darlene); his grandchildren, Meghan Bethem (Aaron Beck) and Aaron Lenhart (Stephanie); his great grandchild Beatrix Beck; and his sisters-in-law, Mildred Bethem, Joyce Dull and Eleanor Atkins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, friends.
