He was predeceased by: his wife Carol (McEldowney). He is survived by: his children, David King (Miranda), Alan Stachura and Barbara Stachura; and his siblings, Melanie Snyder-Lindblom (Charles), Hilary Stachura and Nadine Niedbala (Gerard).

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his memory may be made to the Fox Chase Cancer Center, Office of Institutional Advancement, 333 Cottman Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19111.
