He was predeceased by: his parents, Mahlon E. Hornung and May Dempsey Hornung; and his siblings, Leslie, Gene and Doris.

He is survived by: his wife Anna T. Murphy Hornung; his children, Dennis (Veronica) and Arlene of Bensalem; and his grandchildren, Jennifer (Steve), Dennis Jr. and Theresa (William). He is also survived by great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warriors.
