He is survived by: his wife Christine James; his children, Stephen C. James (Malitta) and Christina N. James; his brother Richard B. James (Jane); and his grandchildren, Malinna and Jeremiah. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society 1626 Locust St. Phila., Pa. 19103.
