He was predeceased by: his child Nicholas, Jr.. He is survived by: his spouse Mildred Haley Yancer; his children, Kathleen Matthews (Martin), Diane Pattay (Bernard) and Teresa Leister (Kenneth); his grandchildren, Cynthia Zawrotuk, Martin Matthews, Carolyn Carchidi, Michael Pattay, Col Jeffrey B. Pattay, Richard Pattay, Kristie Mclain, Darlene Wilt, Kelly Check, Michael Killian and Nicole Yancer; and his siblings, William McShane (Joan) and Margaret McShane (late John).
In lieu of flowers donations in Nicholas' memory may be made to FOP Lodge #5 or the Lions for the blind at 11630 Caroline Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19154.
